The official count is up to 8 as of today. Only one more calf for the year, and we'll be done, and Ryan expects it at any time. Christopher had a ball helping feed the bossies, and now we're starting to teach him the names, Girl, Sassy, Daisy. He was saying hi to Girl and her baby tonight, and Ryan even caught the baby for him to pet for awhile. He still thinks every animal on the farm should come running up to him when he yells for it. He's always yelling for the cats, but they won't come close and he yells for Tink and Shadow, but only sometimes will Shadow come close enough for him to hug. One of these days he'll figure out that you need to be a little quieter. Tonight he thought it was the cows fault that the kitty was running away from him as he chased it so he yelled "moo cow shhh" and put his finger up to his lips. His vocabulary is amazing. He's not afraid to try any word. Last night he was looking through his "noculars" at the "airplane" (he had Ryan's binoculars looking at the helicopter landing at the hospital as we drove through town). Smart kid. Church is also getting much better, he was pretty quiet these past few Sundays. Today, he did pretty good too, we just had a LOT for him to sit through. He kept busy with his friend Tiny behind him though and kept going over the bench to sit by him. Course Tiny had gum for him and he loves that!
This weekend was my birthday so we spent Friday, Saturday, and Sunday together. Saturday was great, we didn't do anything all day but sit around and watch tv and take naps. Tomorrow it's back to reality and work.
