It has been an extremely busy weekend at our house, we're all still trying to recover and all we've done all day today is just sit at home and sleep. We finished the old year with a very busy day at work for me and yet another busy day coyote hunting for Christopher and Ryan. Sounds like the actually helped get a coyote, but I'm pretty sure it was the neighbor who actually got it. Then, after a short trip for me and Caitlyn to one of my coworkers house for a little party, we settled in for the night and everyone was sleeping by 10. Yes, what a way to do the new year! New Years day we headed over to Ryan's parents house on horrible roads to their christmas party. On the way down we got rerouted due to an accident of some sort. The roads home were much better and after watching Pete play elefun for the 100th time that day, we finally all settled in for bed. Yesterday we had to go to Ryan's cousin's wedding down in Denison. Thanfully that wedding wasn't the weekend before because the church was on top of the snowiest and iciest hill in town, I'm quite sure of it. There was a hill we went up to get to the church that I wasn't quite sure even my four wheel drive would make it up and one on the way down that we all just kinda closed our eyes and hoped we made it around the downhill curve! Afterward we went to the dance and boy did Pete have a ball. I wasn't sure we were ever going to get him out of there, but after 9 we finally did, much to his dismay. This week we are done with Christmas and back to the normal routine filled with lots of basketball games. Only 6 more weeks to go and hopefully no playoff games!

Otherwise, Caitlyn is doing pretty good despite all the activity for her this weekend. Today we started her on green beans. She did pretty good with it, I'm quite sure she even got some to her stomach rather than all over her bib and face. She seemed to really like it too...I think she thought it was great to eat with the rest of us rather than just watching!

Pete gets his first trip to the dentist too this week, we're hoping playing dentist with him all the time and talking about it will really help. Dad was supposed to go with us, but he now has a meeting down south so he had to cancel his appointment, that means me and Pete get to both go to the dentist together. Should be really interesting!
