This past weekend was the first of our Christmases for the year. We got together yesterday afternoon with all my dad's brothers and sisters at our house for a surprise birthday party for his 60th birthday. Yes, he was surprised. Then, last night we had Christmas at my moms. It was a mad house, but we all had a lot of fun. Today after dinner at mom's we came home and took long naps...3 hours for mom and dad and 4 hours or more for Caitlyn and Christopher. You could really tell Christopher was tired because last night we put him in bed and he went right to sleep. That NEVER happens!
Otherwise, the kids are doing well. Christopher has been busy farming all the time yet, and now that he has his barn he is farming even more. Tonight he was in his barn and mooing like a cow. It was kinda funny! He also has now been busy playing girl things like dress up with Jaela and tea party with Caitlyn. Yeah, he'll survive. Caitlyn has been continuing to sleep good, and now is getting juice every night. She loves it and tonight couldn't wait for me to mix it up! She really is a good baby and sleeps well and is happy most of the rest of the time. She's still trying to roll over. Seems she's too happy laying on her side and looking around with her fingers in her mouth to want to roll any further. Most nights she sleeps on her side too, so she must be very content there!
This week brings more chaos with Christmas. I'm looking forward to having 3 1/2 days off the next two weekends, just wish it wasn't so busy! Ryan and I also celebrate our 9th anniversary on Wednesday. Hope he's home for it and not off in Adel stuck in a blizzard as he is scheduled to be right now! Thankfully after a game Tuesday night he will also be done refing for a few weeks...too bad it's not for the year as those of us left at home are definitely sick of it!
