ZOO fun!

This weekend we went to the zoo with my family. Everyone made the trip, and all but Brent and Krisitin stayed overnight. It was a hot and steamy day down in Omaha, but we drank plenty of water and seemed to do fine. I even walked almost the entire thing, sitting out only for the desert dome. Pete loved looking at all the animals. His favorite seemed to be the Nemo fish and sharks, but he really liked all of them. He learned a lot of new words at the zoo for the different animals. He also really liked watching the choo choo train go by, even if it was really loud! He stayed awake for almost the entire thing, but tired out at the very end for the monkeys and big cats. I think all the kids really enjoyed the day!

After a long hot day at the zoo, the kids enjoyed some time at the pool. Even Nathan was having fun throwing the ball with the kids! Christopher LOVES to swim! He kept saying "swim?" and then he'd move his arms like he was swimming away in the water. It's kinda cute, and hard to say no to that! Seemed like all the kids (and me!!) slept really well that night at the hotel. I didn't even wake up for all the thunderstorms and rain that came through all night long! This morning, all the kids got a little more time in the pool before we headed home on the long drive.

Christopher has been doing amazingly well with potty training this week. Monday at daycare Rhonda and I decided to just put him in underwear and see how it goes. Would you believe that minus yesterday he's only had about 1 small wetting accident a day, and he's been sleeping dry most nights since then, and we're even starting to get the pooping thing a little so if I catch him, at least part is going in the potty? YEAH CHRISTOPHER! We may get this potty training thing done before the baby comes yet! So far today, he's completely dry all day, even with the long trip home from Omaha and only 1 stop!

Christopher really loves swimming, here's a video of him swimming with Ryan. He's getting to be so good now that Ryan really only has to hang on with one hand! Amazing how much he still smiles with all that water splashing around!
