Summertime Fun!

Today was so nice out that Pete wanted to blow bubbles. My cousin Laura and her husband Nick came up for the weekend, so Laura and Pete were out blowing bubbles. He had fun catching them with his tractor and blowing them...or I should say eating the bubbles!

Anyone want some baby kitties? I think we have every color imaginable right now and all of them are just opening their eyes. So far we have found 3 sets in the barn for a total of 12 kittens in every color imaginable and as far as we can tell, we haven't lost any yet. Last week the first set opened their eyes. Pete loved petting the kitties. Yesterday they kept hissing at him...he must have squeezed them a little too hard when he held them last week!

This week Ryan finally got his new golf cart. Pete was so excited! He had to go for rides all night with Daddy, then Mommy, then Nick, and then Laura. Today when we went golfing, we had him along for just 2 holes and he loved it! I'm not sure what's more fun for him, tractors or golf carts! Funny as I am typing this Ryan and Pete are outside cleaning up the old golf cart to sell (in case anyone wants one, let us know!) and I just heard Ryan yelling "stop stop stop" to Christopher and I saw the golf cart come up by the house with Pete standing on the floor of the cart hitting the gas! Crazy driver! But, no crashes!

We got Pete his own big boy bed this week...and he's doing pretty good at sleeping in it. Right now we have it in our room until we get his new room cleaned out and painted, but hopefully in the next week or so! Here he is taking his nap this afternoon...doesn't that look comfortable? You can also see the dark little thing on the floor...that's his little toy tractor. He doesn't go anywhere without it, including to bed. It's a fight every morning just to get it away from him at daycare!

This week has been all about ice cream cones, popcicles, and slushies here! Pete loves all the frozen treats, and since right now they sound really good to me to, we have at least 1 frozen treat a day! Here Pete is eating his first ice cream cone by himself. Last year all we could ever get him to eat was a cone, and he would even eat them plain this winter from time to time. But, this year he finally has learned how good ice cream is!
