Grandma Lana made Christopher his cupcakes this year, they had little M&M caterpillars on them. We sang to him, and then it was time to blow out the candle. It took a few tries, but Christopher finally got the last candle blown out, thanks to the help of Daddy. He kept blowing straight up, and Ryan would try to move up the cupcake, but sadly most of the time almost burnt his nose instead! The cupcake was really good though, and he was a chocolate monster by the time it was all done!

Jeana & I gave Christopher different parts of this cow rain gear. He loves it, and wouldn't take the boots off all weekend. It also came with a small scoop and rake, a big broom and a lawn chair that are all also spotted!

Here is Pete playing with his new tractor and planter that Bver & Kiki gave him. He loves pushing that around, especially if it means that he gets to sit by Papa Bruce. This weekend at the hotel he kept calling Papa Bruce on the phone, almmost 30 times in one night. The conversation was always the same "Hi Papa Bruce, Doin'? (what you doing), Oh! Bye, See Ya" and he'd hang up the phone. Yes, he has been calling him on everything the last few weeks, from shoes to hands to whatever toy we'll give him.
Saturday night we had a little birthday party for Christopher at Godfathers in Spirit Lake with Jeana, Jamin, Jagger & Jaela, Grandma Lana & Papa Bruce, and Great Grandma Edith. We opened presents and ate pizza and cupcakes. Christopher got lots of really neat presents! He still really doesn't get what it means to be his birthday, but he did tell Grandma Lana "happy birthday grandma" today on the phone and when Papa Bruce asked him how old he was he said "two". We spent plenty of time spoiling him this weekend since it will be his last birthday as an only child!
