Happy Birthday to you

I took this video with my phone a couple of weeks ago. It's of Christopher singing happy birthday. If you listen to him really closely, you'll hear the words! Yes, it also shows him beign a big monkey too! Needless to say he sang it like 50 times that night and we can't get him to sing it at all since then!

This week, Christopher will turn two. Hard to believe that he is that old already! What a year it has been! He's getting smarter and sneakier all the time. Yesterday we found him on the ledge above the cupboards in our pantry. The ledge is only about 6 inches wide. He had taken a stool from the counter, pushed it over, climbed up on it and was standing on the ledge with the pantry open grabbing marshmallows and crackers from the top shelf and setting it on the ledge next to him. Yes, monkey doesn't even begin to describe it! Next weekend we are headed up to bridges bay to celebrate his birthday for the weekend. I'm pretty sure that Christopher will have fun no matter what because he seems to love swimming!

Otherwise, we keep loosing more and more snow all the time, and thankfully we missed out on the snow that everyone to the south got. Don't worry, there's still plenty of drifts here. This week every time we were outside Christopher seemed to be wanting to eat the snow. Since it was pretty black with dirt, we really didn't think that was too good of an idea. Ryan also caught him eating protein pellets with the calves he was feeding the other night. I do think he cleaned his system out after that one, and since daddy was the one not really watching him, daddy got to handle all those diapers! Speaking of diapers, our other big announcement this week is that we are expecting baby number 2 in mid-September. We aren't telling everyone yet, but will probably do that after the first doctor appointment this week Thursday. Since you are all faithful blog followers, we thought we'd share it with you all first! If you look really closely at the countdown at top, that's what it's saying. It's kind of hidden yet, but just so you all know, we've had it up there for over a week now!

Ryan's down to his last few basketball games, I thought we were done last week, but then all of a sudden he picked up some more games, these games are tournament ones though, so he's super excited. I guess Christopher and I will have to make 3 more nights!
