The rest of the painting party

There were lots of projects going on at the same time on Saturday, here are just a few other things that were happening...
Here Ryan's aunt Teresa and his cousin Annie work on the Kitchen.

Uncle "Bver" as he will be called paying his rent for the week by fixing the light, it's bright and shiny in there now!

Painting the baby room!

Saturday was the big painting day, we got everyone together and began transforming the baby room! As you can see, we had a lot of help and got a lot done...in fact, we got 3 other rooms painted as well! I just have a little detail work left to do in this room, and a little more to paint in another room and it's all done. Then, it's up to Ryan to get up the barn board that will divide the room. The most wonderful part, in 2 of the rooms, everything was painted and put back on the wall before everyone left that night! Talk about efficiency! Thanks so much to everyone who helped out! There they are, Ryan's mom and dad, painting away!

These stripes were a ton of fun! Here my mom and Ryan's cousin Annie are putting on the 3rd coat of red!!!

And, the finished product of the day, just need to add the barn board! Oh, and these stripes are grey, not blue if anyone is wondering!

Painting party!

Well, it's finally time to paint the baby's room. The date is set for January 20. Those who have free time, feel free to stop in (just let me know you're coming so I can cook for you!). The idea is to paint the nursery grey and red stripes on the bottom and a light tan on top with barnwood in between that we may put hooks on or something. And, if we get that all done, we'll move on to painting other rooms too! Last weekend, we took down all the wallpaper, now it's to patching and cleaning walls one of these days. We'll update pictures of the room once it's done, and maybe one or two in the process!
