Wisconsin Trip

Everywhere we went, Pete had to take his own suitcase in.

Christopher had all kinds of fun in the waterpark at the Dells!

Pete had to read the Stine Catalog just like Daddy!
This past week we went to Ryan's annual meeting for Stine. This time it was at Lake Geneva, WI. Lake Geneva was pretty rainy...so it wasn't all that fun for us. We had hoped to take Pete out on the boat, but every time he woke up from his much needed nap, it was raining. The real bummer was that our hotel room looked over the kid's pool...so we had to keep the blinds closed at times! We did get one evening for an hour to take him out and play, and there was an indoor pool that he played in some too. Our favorite part of the trip though was the night before we got to Lake Geneva we stayed at Lake Delton at an indoor waterpark. Pete LOVED the wave pool and the kiddie pool. Ryan and him also made a trip down one of the many many waterslides, but he wasn't too fond of that! Luckily I was pregnant and didn't have to go down the one that Ryan really wanted to go down...the Windtunnel. They basically sent you in a tube with 2-4 other people (the reason Ryan didn't go...he didn't want to go with someone else even though he probably could have) into this huge waterslide that looked from the outside like a top. Scared me just looking at it!

Overall, the traveling part also went well. I stayed comfortable and Ryan got to drive in crazy Wisconsin traffic on I-94. Christopher barely slept but maybe an hour all the way to the Dells, but kept busy coloring (his new favorite activity), watching Bolt, and pointing out every single tractor, truck, wagon, hay bale, cow, cornfield, and "toybean' field to us the whole way out. Yep, he's a farmer! During the trip he told us all kinds of stories and kept saying "I suppose" as well as belching loudly just to say "excuse me". It was great to hear the belches....hopefully it's just a phase that will past. By the time we went home he was ready to go though and kept telling us he "miss Shadow, miss Tinkerbell, miss cows, miss kitties, miss baby cows, miss tractor" and a whole long list of whatever he could think of at the time. Good thing we brought all his toy tractors along or they would have been on the list too!

I'm not really sure what would make you love the wave pool so much after watching this video...but Christopher had a blast! Must be because he loves swallowing the water!

Love the pics - that's exactly the reason I DON'T care for the wave pool! Funny.
