tulip time

Christopher chasing around princess Jaela at Grandma's house. He caught her with the butterfly net...his favorite toy there!
Pete and Nathan riding in the wagon together...it worked so much better than two strollers, but was a little harder to fit in the car!

Shaking out all the grass from his hat...Pete and Nick had grass wars!

Smelling the tulips, but not picking them!

Since I missed last week, I thought I would do two today. We spent the afternoon at the tulip festival today with my whole family minus Ryan, Jamin, and Carmen. I don't know that my whole family has ever gone to the tulip festival, but we made it! The kids had fun looking at the tulips and smelling them, and we had to catch the youngest 3 at least once from falling into those pricey tulips ($500 fine for picking one). Luckily, we made it out with no picked tulips, although it was a bit difficult. Christopher had a great time watching all the bands, waving to everyone, and watching the tractors and Ee-ha's (horses) go by. After we left Orange City, we all headed to my mom and dad's for supper and finally we are home again. Ryan just got home from his busy day of hauling seed, fixing the mower, and refing a football game (yeah...summer games with the Sharks). Now he's out there finishing the mowing with Brent at 1030pm. Lovely! Oh well, he never did get the entire lawn done last weekend! Tomorrow we head to Grandma Edith's where the whole family is getting together for dinner. That is a very rare occasion that only happens once every several years. Poor Christopher never got a nap all day today with all the commotion. He hit the bed hard at 1000 finally...didn't even hardly cry! Hopefully tomorrow he'll get in one of his 4 hour naps!
