What a brave little monkey Christopher is becoming. The other day he saw something up on the table that was just beyond his reach, so he taught himself to climb up the chair. This is his second time climbing up on the chair, and as you can see, it takes no time at all! He also is getting pretty good at walking, although it's pretty slow progress. He did make it across the room several times this week, but mostly walks a few steps and falls. He seems to think running would be much more fun, he just isn't that coordinated yet.
Thursday Christopher had his doctor's appointment. He had 4 shots (there would have been 5, but there is a shortage of one of the shots so he will have to make that one up at his next visit in 6 months). He also had his finger poked to check his hemoglobin, hematocrit and lead levels. He was so intrigued by getting his finger poked and having blood drawn. He got upset whenever the nurse got her hand in the way and he couldn't watch what was going on. He never cried for the blood draw...the shots were another story! Now he has a bit of a cold and has been pretty crabby all weekend, mostly from the shots!

Christopher also got a few more birthday presents this week. Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Sonja, and his cousins Nick, Carmen and soon to be baby Nathan got him a basketball hoop. He has been having a blast playing with that all week! He also got a camo outfit and neat book from Laura & Nick that has his picture as different animals. He thinks it is SO cool!
